Clubs who might surprisingly fail this year Champions League

Champions League football for this season kicked off last Night with a lot of interesting results as every team alongside defending champions, Real Madrid battle for the biggest prize in Club football.

We take a look at big clubs who could fail to impress in the Champions League this season despite hopes surrounding their chances.

Inter Milan: Despite the interesting strides of the Italian giants in the past two seasons, The Milan club might not necessarily impress the Champions League this season,  have started this season on a good note already with the only defeat of the season against Milan rivals, AC Milan.

The return of Romelu Lukaku should have boosted their chances of getting a step ahead this season but that might not materialize this season.

Liverpool: Horrible season so far for the Merseyside based club. The loss of Sadio Mané has been sorely felt as they have failed to replicate the good form in front of goal this season and have struggled in the Premier League including a stalemate at the weekend to Everton.

Whilst Klopp is looking to turn things around, Liverpool might not be in the best position to impress in the Champions League this season.

Chelsea: Chelsea have struggled all season and their struggle continued yesterday with a defeat in their first Champions League game this season at Zagreb.

The have failed to score more than two goals in a single game and have failed to keep a clean sheet in their last six matches showing they have serious problems in front of goal.

Despite being the highest spender of the summer, Chelsea fans would have to be patient as Thomas Tuchel finds a breakthrough with his squad.

Juventus: Juventus have started this season Champions League campaign with a loss to french giants, Paris St Germain.

Over the past one year, Juventus have lost a lot of key players, Paulo Dybala, De Ligt, Kulusevski, Bentacur, Ramsey, Arthur and would have to exercise a lot of patience as the rebuild continues at Turin.
