A pregnant woman was on Sunday kidnapped by terrorists at Lema community in the Mando area of Kaduna State.
The community is opposite the Nigerian Defence Academy, NDA, in the state.
Sahara Reporters learnt that seven other persons were abducted by the terrorists who broke into three houses around 1:00 am on Sunday.
A resident of the area, Musa Danladi, said residents of the neighbourhood were terrified during the attack by the terrorists, adding that rattling gunfire could be heard for a long period.
“They came around 1:00 am and took away eight residents including a pregnant woman that came to visit her sick mother in the community. This is not the first time bandits would attack our community,” Danladi said.
Residents called on the authorities to come to their rescue, but there was no response.
When Sahara Reporters contacted the spokesman for the Kaduna State Police Command, DSP Mohammed Jalige, he said, "I will find out and get back to you".
He, nevertheless, had not got back as of the time of filing this report.
