Former Vice President of Nigeria and leading opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has congratulated Bola Tinubu on his emergence as the All Progressives Congress standard-bearer for the 2023 presidential election.
Abubakar emerged the PDP flag bearer at the party’s special convention held last month in Abuja, where he beat Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, and former Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki, among others.
In a post shared on his Twitter handle this afternoon, Atiku said Tinubu had a hard fight and that his prevailing confirms his tenacity
Tinubu has polled 1,271 votes of the total votes cast in the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary in Abuja.
Meanwhile, other aspirants who also put up a good fight include, Rotimi Amaechi and Yemi Osinbajo, who got 316 and 235 votes respectively.
