Suspected gunmen on Wednesday night stormed the Plateau State Polytechnic Barkin Ladi and kidnapped three students.
The abducted students were identified as Bencit and Longfei and one other person.
The Police confirmed the incident and informed one suspect has been arrested.
Sources said the three gunmen stormed the hostel known as 'Plateau Embassy' towards the end of the School fence and whisked the three girls away after shooting sporadically in the air.
At the time of this report, It was gathered that the operation safe Haven has been informed and mobilised their men to the general area.
The spokesman of Plateau Police Command, ASP Gabriel Ubah, who confirmed the incident in a statement to reporters , explained: "The Plateau State Police Command is aware of the kidnap incident in Ban Village behind Plateau State Polytechnic Heipang on the 12/01/2022 at about 20:05hrs where three persons were abducted.
"Immediately the report was received, a team of Policemen of the Command and OPSH raced to the scene where one suspect was arrested.
"Meantime, efforts are ongoing to rescue the kidnapped victims and arrest other perpetrators of the act."
